ऑर्डिनल्स का अर्थ है क्रमसूचक संख्याएँ। हिंदी में प्रथम, द्वितीय, तृतीय या अंग्रेजी में फर्स्ट, सेकंड , थर्ड शब्दों के समान, जर्मन भाषा में अलग-अलग क्रमिक शब्द हैं। इन क्रमिक शब्दोंका उपयोग तिथियों के साथ-साथ चीजों की स्थिति को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है। नीचे टेबल में दिए हुए ऑर्डिनल्स की जानकारी लेते है। जैसे एर्स्टे (1st), ज़्वाइटे (2nd), ड्रिट्टे (3rd),ज़ेख्स्टे (6th), एल्फ्टे (11th), झ्वयोलफ्टे (12th), फ्यूनफ्त्सिख्स्टे (15th), फीयर उण्ड ड्राईजिगस्टे (34th), आख्ट उण्ड ड्राईजिगस्टे (38th)…।
इसके बाद निचे टेबल में 11 से 20 तक ऑर्डिनलस की जानकारी लेते है।
यदि आप इन क्रमवाचक शब्दों का उपयोग करके जन्मदिन की तारीख बताना चाहते हैं, तो आपको 21 से 31 तक के क्रमवाचक नामों पर भी गौर करना चाहिए!
इस तरह झ्वाय, द्राय या फिअर इत्यादि ‘द्रायजीगस्टेन’ या ‘फियरजिगस्टेन’ से जोड़कर अगली संख्याए बनाई जा सकती है। 40–100 तक के दिए गए क्रमवाचक संख्याओं (ordinals) को देखकर हम कई अन्य क्रमवाचक संख्याएँ बना सकते हैं। जैसे ड्राय-उंड-ड्राइसिग्स्टेन याने ३३वाँ (33rd) , ज़ीबेन-उंड-फ्यूनफ्सिग्स्टेन याने ५७वाँ (57th)।
अब हम जन्मदिन कैसे बताए इसका संज्ञान लेते है ! 27 अप्रैल को जर्मन में ‘झिबन उंड झ्वान्झिग्स्टेन-आप्रिल ‘ और 15 जुलाई को ‘फ्युन्फझिन्टेन युली’ कहते है । 4 मई को ‘फियरटेन-माई’ और 11 अगस्त को ‘एल्फ्टेन आउगुस्ट ‘ कहते है।
तो अब आप भी अपनी जन्म तिथि और जन्म माह के बारे में ऊपर दी गई जानकारी में तारीखों और महीनों को सही ढंग से संयोजित करने का प्रयास करें!

Ordinals are numerical terms. Similar to how first, second, and third are used in English, there are various ordinal usages in German. Positions and dates are both described by ordinals.
Let’s look at the ordinal numbers in the table below.
In German, the 11th through 20th are pronounced similarly as seen below.
What about birthdates? No worries! Let us have a look at the ordinal names from 21st to 31st before proceeding to birthdates.
Ein und Dreißigsten/Dreißigste are the expressions for the number 31th. By referring to the ordinal numbers from 40 to 100 given below, we can form many other ordinal numbers.
Let’s talk about birthdates now!
In German, July 15th is pronounced as Fünfzehnten Juli, while April 27th is known as Sieben und Zwanzigsten April. August 11th is pronounced as Elften August, and May 4th is spoken as Vierten Mai.
